This is what I am currently reading. A cozy mystery written by a very interesting lady . All of the books in this series are set on Martha's Vineyard. As a 'Vineyard' lover, it is fun because although some of her exact locations are of her imagination, the majority of the locations are real, or you can tell about where she is alluding to. The 'detective' in this series is a very elderly, feisty lady who lives, and has always lived, on the Island. She knows everyone, and everyone knows her. At 92 years of age, Victoria is a very believable character......why I think I saw her once at Ally's Country Store!!
This series gives you the feeling of what life is like living as a permanent resident on a vacation island. She focuses on the enviroment and brings a different flower/plant into each of her mysteries. Although they really have nothing to do with the actual murder, usually, she incorporates such interesting information.

This particular book involves several murders with a questionable link. It includes a Harley-Davidson/Indian motorcycle rally, Tribal disputes among the Wampanoags including a casino development with developer disputes, and that is just the beginning.
A series I would highly recommend for a good 'cozy' mystery read with a different flair.

Some of My Favorite Recently read books
- The Cedar Cove series by Debbie Macomber. This series has 6 books in it currently. They explore the lives and times of the residents of Cedar Cove, Washington. The characters in this series are fun because they are so varied. I will admit, I would like to know about some of them. They are old and young, rich and poor, happy and struggling. They do all connect together and they all appear in each book, along with new characters all the time. The books are quick reads. I was very sad when they were done. I cant wait for the next installment of this series to come out in Sept. 2007. Visit Debbies Cedar Cove website for more and pic :http://www.debbiemacomber.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page&pageID=6
